My boyfriend is jealous when I go to dinner w/ my male or female friends. He does not act this way w/ anyone else. He is trying to work on this, but ever time I go out w/ a friend (1 x a week) he gets upset. He says he loves me so much he is afraid to lose me. He is making himself crazy and then me. He just gets hurt and acts sad. We have been dating 3 months.

If this is the case, (still doesn't excuse his style of communication) then he is not going back down and give in, because he feels you are not listening to him. It'll continue to feed off of each others reactions. If you won't call after he's sent several text messages, why would he feel that you would be willing to talk to him if he called.
