She has been burned by people in the past so now as an adult she carries a chip on her shoulder and she cannot be bothered to show any consideration for others nor any concern for their priorities, only hers. I am sure when people finally get fed up with her self absorption she tells herself they were not a good person, a true friend, and never really cared. Anyhow, her problem seems to be herself.
