One of the men I dated owns his own company and is very successful, however, he works seven days a week and is totally obsessed with his company and is thinking of opening another store. Wish I could be the right one to make him make the left turn. Art_Critic what you had to say really makes a lot of sense. Thanks you guys. I just don't know at this point what his problem is. Maybe he is very career driven too and can't think of anything else like having a relationship.

I believe in the Golden Rule of treating others as I would. I have a hard work ethic and still believe nice guys don’t finish last.

Sports I enjoy include football, swimming and cycling, among a few other. I'm an upcoming filmmaker, who is in the directing / editing / screenwriting position.

That combined with financial investing is what he plans to spend the rest of his life doing. I'm 21 and am in college, planning to become a lawyer, but I have a few backup plans in case my original goal doesn't work. He's 29 amd a teacher for now. He's finished a training course to become a Real Estate Agent, and will take the state exam in a few weeks.

In my mind it puts too many doubts in her head since the site only seems to focus on these horror stories. Every message is about how this husband is a drug addict and this husband is a wife beater and this husband is an alcoholic and this husband didn't pay taxes for 20 years. She told me she reads it to learn things like recipes, about our banking system, cleaning products, etc. She likes to log into a bulletin board that is dedicated to women from her country who have married Americans. I asked her "if you know it makes me feel uncomfortable when you read this site and you know I don't want you to read these aweful stories, why do you continue reading them?" Her answer was "it's my favorite site and I know you are different". This time I confronted her and told her I really did not like her reading all of these terrible stories about marriages to Americans. However, several times I have sat with her and asked her she was reading and 99% of the messages she reads is about how terrible deciding to marry and American was. The day after I mentioned it made me feel uncomfortable she was back reading the site again. She said that she knows I am not like any of these guys and she just enjoys reading the site.
