One thing though-- won't my being a jerk make my friends mad at me? Even if I'm not mean to them they might get mad at me for being mean to Brandon, who is also their friend. thanks, that sounds like it might work.

This forum is full of people too terrified of getting hurt to ever be as brave as this.. I like and respect this kind of intensity. In the beginning of a new relationship it should be this way. They're depressing boring cynics emotionally stunted by their insecurities. You shouldn't stop yourself from experiencing these feelings.
